Our new volunteer coordinator, Jill Sbarboro is excited to welcome new volunteers to PADS! If you are interested in volunteering but not sure where you might fit in why not call our office during business hours and ask for extension 109. Jill is in periodically in throughout the week and works hard to email and call back all volunteers and new volunteer prospects.Please be aware that Jill has limited hours in office.

Becoming a new PADS volunteer checklist:

  • Fill out our volunteer application then scan and email(jsbarboro@padsofelgin.org) it back OR mail it to our office address at 1730 Berkley Street, Elgin, IL 60123.  Please allow 7 days to hear a response about your application.
  • Have a phone or in person meeting with Jill to go over questions on the application, learn more about you and find out if PADS will be a good fit for what you are looking to do. Time requested: 30 minutes
  • Set up a training date with Jill and come to the shelter at assigned time to learn the dynamics of being a PADS volunteer. Time requested: 1 hr
