Get ready to grab your whistles, put on your conductor’s hat, and hop on board, as Thomas the Train rolls into the Illinois Railway Museum in Union. For two weekends in August PADS will partner with the Railway Museum to bring Thomas to life. This event is our second largest fundraiser of the year, and money raised helps allow us to keep the shelter open the entire summer!

Volunteers are needed to fill positions at the festivities, which earn a generous donation to the shelter. This year volunteers are more critical than ever. The event has been reduced from 5 days to 4. With fewer days, filling as many positions as possible is vital in helping us reach our fundraising goal!

Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older, and individuals may choose to work as many days as they would like. Every hour you volunteer equals a cash donation to PADS of Elgin. Event dates are August 16th, 17th, 23rd, and 24th.
